Product Description LOVE STORY ABOUT REDEMPTION, DISCOVERY, AND THE VALUE OF LIFE. UNFORGETTABLE STORY ABOUT 2 WOUNDED PEOPLE BRAVE ENOUGH TO TRY AGAIN.
Amazon.com Rebel Without a Cause meets Ordinary People in postmillennial Manhattan, resulting in Hollywoodland director Allen Coulter's Remember Me. Twilight's tousle-haired Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a chain-smoking New York University student with a substantial chip on his shoulder. Drifting through life devoid of ambition, he lost his older brother to suicide, his parents are divorced, and his father, Charles (Pierce Brosnan), spends more time in the boardroom than with his kids (Lena Olin plays Tyler's mother). Tyler takes refuge in his friendships with wisecracking roommate Aidan (Tate Ellington) and artistic younger sister Caroline (Ruby Jerins). One night, he and Aidan enter a scuffle outside a club, and Sergeant Craig (Chris Cooper) takes him in for mouthing off, even though he was trying to break things up. When Aidan discovers that they go to school with Craig's daughter, Ally (Lost's Emilie de Ravin), he dares his pal to date and dump the Queens coed to get back at Craig. Game for anything, Tyler gives it a try, and Ally takes the bait, but he puts all thoughts of revenge aside when he finds himself falling in love. Ten years before, Ally lost her mother (Martha Plimpton in an unbilled cameo), and she understands him better than most anyone else, but the timing is off, and the events of 9/11 will change the lives of both families forever. The descent toward melodrama at the end threatens to derail Coulter's delicate project, but he sets things right in time to make Remember Me an affecting experience. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

Won't Remember This Movie September 6, 2010 Steven Schuman (Silver Spring, MD United States) Some decent acting, but I found myself not involved witht the characters. Their actions seem plot driven rather than coming from consistant internal forces. The ending seemed contrived. I must say, I enjoyed the movie more when non-whining adults were present in the scene.
Remember this August 27, 2010 Peggy B. Foreman Rob Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin and supporting cast are excellent. Maybe it is a bit melodramatic, but I really believe the message is to remember that one fall day in New York City, the world came apart for so many people and also for the rest of the nation as we watched, stunned beyond words. Life can change dramatically in one brief moment--and we are never to forget that it can also happen to us.
Acting was excellent.....the plot :? August 26, 2010 S. Shaw (Chicago) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm not a tween or a fan of Robert pattinson; although I do enjoy Pierce Bronson acting. The movie had excellent acting from all involved. I was quite surprise considering I wasn't expecting much. RP is good with angst and I suspect most of his movies will be similiar going foward. I rated the movie two stars because of the plot, it was so poorly put together; it really didn't make much sense. I also think it was a poorly used ending of 9/11 event; considering the theme of the movie.

I honestly dont know where to begin. I saw the reviews, thought it looked ok. I mean just ok. I am a 45 year old Pattinson fan. He showed us his true tallent. I thought all the actors were perfect in every way. I felt as tho I new all of them my whole life. I had no preconception of what the ending held for me. So, when I got there, I couldnt pick my jaw up off the floor or stop crying. I still, days later, feel the impact of the movie. Of course, I ran and bought the movie. This will be one to see a million times, and then some. The real ending that happend is so vivid in my mind to this day. I was watching from home from the very second it hit the news, just getting home from surgery and celabraiting my daughters birthday on the 10th. I still cant speak of it without choking a large lump down my throat. I may not have lost a loved one that day, but my life will never be the same. I even feel this way about our war vetrans, I dont know anyone in the armed forces, but I love them all just as if they were mine. God Bless our Troops,,,,and let them come home soon.
The film touched me in more ways than one August 22, 2010 Shamontiel L. Vaughn (Chicago) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm glad I didn't read the critical reviews before I saw this film or else it would've spoiled the end for me. While the preview plot is nothing surprising (boy makes a bet to make a girl fall for him, trying to outsmart overzealous cop), the relationship between Robert Pattinson's character and his little sister was what I found fascinating. I liked the dynamics between those two and the struggled love between the two siblings and their father, Pierce Brosnan's character. While I was certainly surprised by the turn of events and my heart cracked a little after a slumber party incident, I cheered about the fire extinguisher spot. As far as the end, I didn't see that one coming. This movie was nothing like I expected it to be, and I enjoyed it for that reason. While Robert Pattinson has the same sex appeal in this movie as he does in the "Twilight" series, my eyes kept resting on Pierce. I'd seen him in other films, but in this one, he was extremely handsome.
